
What do I need to inform MOM regarding my maid?
As an employer, you need to notify MOM of changes during your maid’s employment, including changes in residential address and her passport details, pregnancy, missing worker, death of a worker or provide a reference for your worker.
1. Change in contact details
You should update your email and mobile number using WP Online.
This will allow you to receive important information about your maid, e.g. renewal notice or six-monthly medical examinations.
2. Change in residential address
You must update your new residential address within 2 weeks of the change.
1)Singapore citizen or PR
If you are a Singapore citizen or PR, you need to update your address at any of these places:
Any neighborhood police post or Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) building.
This new address will automatically be updated as your maid's workplace. You will receive an acknowledgement letter by post within 2 weeks.
2)EP, S Pass, DP or LTVP issued by MOM
If you're holding an EP, S Pass, DP or LTVP issued by MOM, you need to update your residential address using EP Online. You will need a SingPass to log in.

LTVP holders need to get their EP, S Pass holders or sponsoring companies to update on their behalf.
Print the acknowledgement letter and keep it with your pass card.
This new address will automatically be updated as your maid’s workplace. You will receive an acknowledgement letter by post within 2 weeks.
3)LTVP issued by ICA
If your LTVP was issued by ICA, submit your latest documents showing the new address (e.g. bank statement, internet or utilities bill) using iSubmit. Under Request Type, choose option 4.
This new address will automatically be updated as your maid's workplace. You will receive an acknowledgement letter by post within 2 weeks.
3,Change in maid’s personal particulars
You need to inform MOM of changes to your maid's personal particulars, such as passport updates.
You inform MOM through:
WP Online – for updating your maid’s name, date of birth, passport number, passport expiry date and marital status.

iSubmit – for all other changes. Attach copies of your letter of request and supporting documents (e.g. passport). Under Request Type, choose option 4.
MOM will inform ICA about the changes to passport details. If your maid wishes to clear immigration using the automated gates at the checkpoints, they can do so after 4 working days from the update.
4,Changes in maid’s salary(Only need to inform MOM when lowering your maid’s salary)
If you are lowering your maid's salary, you must:
Get her written consent.
Inform MOM of her new salary using WP Online.
There is no need to inform MOM if you are raising your maid’s salary.
5,Provide a reference for your maid
You can let MOM know if you wish to be a reference for your maid.
The prospective employer or employment agency can contact you to find out about your maid’s conduct, character, work attitude or performance.
Leave your contact details using the online feedback and indicate “Reference for FDW” in the message.
Include the following information:
- Maid’s name and Work Permit number or FIN.
- Employer’s name and employer’s NRIC or FIN.
- Employer’s contact number or email.
MOM will do the following:
- Inform the prospective employer or employment agency that they have received feedback about the maid.
- Release your contact details to the prospective employer or employment agency if they wish to find out more.
If a prospective employer decides to employ the maid in spite of the feedback, MOM will process the application. They will only ban an FDW from employment if the maid is charged and found guilty of an offence under Singapore law.
6,If maid is pregnant
You need to notify MOM through iSubmit.
Include the following information:
- Name of maid.
- Work Permit number.
- Doctor’s letter confirming the pregnancy and her expected delivery date.
- Citizenship of the maid's spouse (if applicable).
7,If maid goes missing
You must do these within 1 week of knowing that your maid is missing:
- File a missing person police report.
- Cancel the Work Permit.
- If the maid is not found within 1 month from the date the Work Permit was cancelled, $2,500 (half of the $5,000 security bond) will be forfeited to cover the repatriation and other related costs.
- Subsequently, if the maid has left Singapore, you can apply for a refund of the forfeited security bond.
8,Death of maid
To report a death:
Contact the police immediately.
Send the following information to MOM within 12 hours of knowing about the death:
- Your name and contact number.
- Your maid’s name and Work Permit number.
- Cancel the work permit immediately after you have informed MOM about the death of maid. -Upload a copy of the following documents when cancelling:
1)Death certificate
2)Airway bill (if the ashes or body has been sent back to the home country)or
Burial certificate (if the body has been buried in Singapore)or Cremation certificate (if the body has been cremated in Singapore).
